Pylon Sign Damage Major Rusty Poles – Pylon Signs!
Worst pylon sign pole rust damage ever seen in 25 years. The rust had gone right through the quarter inch thick poles, rust holes so large that you could stick your fist through the hole into the centre of the post. But you would not dare, in case the pylon sign fell over in that moment.
Business owners try to maximize their signs asset life, although some sign owners are oblivious and or negligent to sign safety and use the signs well beyond their useful life.
This hazardous pylon sign was eventually taken down and replaced. Thank goodness for public safety.

Pylon sign has rust holes so large that you would think they know the danger and take down the pylon sign right away.You probably should not park your car near this pylon sign, in case the pylon sign fell over while you were in store. Sign owner is a little negligent to sign safety. Saving spending serious money ... by not buying a new pylon sign that might cost $ 20,000 plus.Fair to say that the sign is being used well beyond it's safe life. This hazardous pylon sign was eventually taken down and replaced.Thank goodness for public safety. |

Good example of what rust is doing to steel poles over time regardless of thickness.Good reason to cover any exposed steel based plates and keep all steel surfaces well primed and painted.This is a seven inch steel pole with a two inch rust hole.Luckily the pylon sign was replaced with a new pylon sign. |
