Huge Advertising Sign Impact Needed on Short Notice, Rent a Crane!
Over the years, we joked what to do if signs were late in delivery and installation for a store opening. If a pylon sign
could not be erected by a store opening date then we would just rent a large crane to hold it up.
Obviously, we did not have an exclusive on this idea. See below an example of a eye catching form of sign
advertising. Unique way to sell cars. Similar to the pylon sign held up by a crane truck, waiting for delays in concrete
bases to be installed..
Chrysler auto retailer hoisted a car about 100 feet in the air with 100 ton crane truck as a sign to get customers to drop by the
dealership. Don't know how successful they were.
Good example of locational advertising - effective sign display to create awareness to your services or products.
As to erecting a pylon sign that could not be erected by a store opening date by renting a large crane to hold it up ...
we never did it.

This car dealer is trying get your attention.Rental of a 100 ton crane with delivery and set up probalby set you back $ 200 an hour.So to get this kind of advertising sign impact looking at minimum $ 1500 per day.Maybe one gets a discount as the crane does not need an operator nor costs much to run as it just holds up the Chrysler mini van.Made me turn around to get a photo .. did not need a vehicle though. |
